The concept of Reminiscence formed from a moment of self-reflection I experienced at a summer house party. I thought about what I wanted to be and do when I got older as a kid, represented by the explosion of images symbolizing my younger-self's aspirations.
Much of the process of creating this artwork involved blending acrylic paint, but as this had been my first major acrylic painting and I had no other professional experience outside of its creation, painting required an immense amount of trial and error. I had to repaint the wood paneling in the background three different times because I could not get an adequate gradient, for instance.
